Halloween 2k16
On October 25th all students and teachers from Foreign Languages participated at the annual Halloween festival at Tangamanga University. This year was our turn, we decided to throw a Halloween ball kinda like a homecoming as in the sates but Halloween themed.
This festivity in particular is full with stereotypes but we wanted to change that, so we chose Literacy as our main theme. Each group had to choose a fairytale or a story from an English Speaking Country and perform it.
Freshman students carved the jack o' lanterns, and they did a pretty cool job; they explained why we usually carve pumpkins on halloween.
As students love to wear costumes (very cool costumes btw) we decided to make a contest for the best costume with three categories: solo, pairs and teams. Everyone wore awesome costumes like our coordinator Teacher Blanca, she was the Queen of hearts from Alice in wonderland ( The staff from Foreign languages coordination chose that book as theme for our costumes ) There was a couple dressed as Legos, a group dressed as Mario Kart characters, Of course batman and Batgirl, The joker and Harley Quinn among others.
At the end we had a ball, we danced and had a great time. when the ball was almost over the winners of the best halloween costume were chosen and the winers were...

Anyway.. there were some things that we would've liked to change to make it a little bit better but hey! it was our first event and it was Ok! we had a lot of fun.
